The ten-part series tracks six women and four men all from London, Ontario and of varying ages, fitness levels and backgrounds as they undertake a rigorous twelve-week comprehensive fitness program. Locally, the show also airs Monday to Friday @ 6:00 AM and Tuesdays @ 8:30 PM. For additional local times, check listings. The 10 participants demonstrate extra-ordinary motivation and determination in their quest to reach their personal fitness and health goals. The series was shot on location at The Athletic Clubs of London. Each episode features 1 of the 10 participants from the start of their 12-week challenge straight through to the finish. The cameras roll as participants reveal their personal goals, undergo a fitness evaluation, begin a nutrition program, train with free weights and start aerobic sessions. The Athletic Club's Personal Training Director, Meagan White, leads them through the challenge while PVL spokesperson and Miss Fitness Canada, Stephanie Worsfold provides nutrition counseling. "PVL is proud to return as the title sponsor of Rogers Television's the PVL Finally Fit Challenge, "says Jennifer Walker, Marketing Manager, PVL. "We hope this show motivates and inspires many others to take the challenge and transform their bodies to achieve a healthier and happier lifestyle." The first television series of the PVL Finally Fit Challenge premiered in January 2000 and immediately connected with viewers. The series went on to win Rogers Television's national Les Prix impression Award in 2002 for Best How -To program. Last June over 100 people turned out at open auditions held at the Athletic Club North hoping for a chance to be a part of the second production. Rob Geddes, a 45 year-old real estate agent decided to audition after watching the first series and seeing impressive results. He won a spot on the show and is featured in the first episode. His fitness goals include keeping his Type 2 Diabetes and high blood pressure under control, build some muscle and even though he admits that it's a bit vain, develop "six pack abs" for the first time in his life.
